Edward Munzing began his career at the Department of Aviation in 2006 as a Purchasing Analyst and was subsequently promoted to a variety of positions. He now serves as Managing Director of Aviation, Diversity, Procurement & Contracts. In this role, Munzing oversees purchasing for the Clark County airport system. He works closely with the Clark County District Attorney’s office on a variety of contractual issues and ensures compliance with Nevada Revised Statutes, Clark County fiscal directives and Department of Aviation policies and procedures.

Prior to joining the Department of Aviation, Munzing spent time working in the finance, utilities, gaming, and automobile industries. With over 25 years of purchasing experience, Munzing has been awarded the Clark County Customer Service Excellence Award and was nominated for Southern Nevada Buyer of the Year in 2013. Munzing is involved with the Institute for Supply Management, Nevada, and supports a variety of local outreach events.

Munzing is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in management science, economics. He also earned a master’s degree in supply management and marketing from the University of San Diego. An electric vehicle enthusiast, Munzing enjoys spending time attending car shows with his family and friends, as well as playing tennis and ping pong.
