Jennifer Scharn has worked for the Department of Aviation since 2021, serving as Managing Director of Airport Employee Services. In this role, she oversees recruitment and training; employee development; employee engagement and recognition; and talent sourcing strategies. She has nearly two decades of public sector human resources experience encompassing labor relations, recruitment, training and development and risk management, including most recently as a Human Resources Manager at Clark County Water Reclamation District and Senior Human Resources Analyst with Clark County.

Scharn is a two-time graduate of UNLV, holding degrees of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Public Administration. Additionally, she is the current President of the local chapter of the National Public Employers Labor Relations Association (NPELRA) and is a certified Senior Human Resource Professional by the HR Certification Institute as well as Society for Human Resource Management.

A Las Vegas native, when Scharn is not working, she enjoys attending concerts, cheering on the Vegas Golden Knights and spending quality time with her family.
